Nestled in the heart of the Landsborough River lies the purple creek waterfall. After 2 days spent rafting down this incredible valley with @youngadventuress we had the pleasure of stopping off here for a quick adventure! 😍🌊 With 2 piece 7mm wetsuits on, booties, gloves, life jackets and helmets we waded through the creek like marshmallows. The layers kept us warm in the glacial waters, once getting up to the waterfall we even got to go behind the waterfall and feel it crashing down on top off us! Definitely one of my highlights from my rafting trip with @queenstownrafting! 😁

I'm loving making use of the extra light as the days grow longer! Bring on summer! 🌞
Moments like these are what I as a photographer live for, fire skies that burn and burn and burn making all the sleepless nights, long hours driving, hiking and early starts with late finishes worth it! 😍
When you get up at 2am to start hiking for a sunrise its always in the back of your mind that it all might be for naught. Luckily on this particular day it all came together and we were able to witness a stunning sunrise over the iconic Emerald Lakes - the halfway point on the Tongariro Crossing! πŸ˜πŸŒ„β›°οΈ

What is it about waterfalls and stars that capture the imagination so powerfully? 😍✨🌠🌌 The sky is so dark in National Park in @visitruapehu that I had to use my mobile phone to light paint the foreground in order to capture the beauty of the waterfall for this image. The first time I ever cruised through Milford Sound I was captivated with the way the light played over the Stirling Falls. This winter I planned a trip when I believed the light would be coming through this gap just perfectly πŸ˜πŸŒŠπŸ™Œ When I woke in the morning it was wet and rainy and I thought I was to be foiled by the often dreary Milford weather. It hadn't changed much but I thought to myself at least the downpour would ensure the waterfalls were running full tilt by the time I was out on the water to shoot them! As we approached, as if on cue, the clouds and the beautiful light I was hoping for began to pour through the gap. I used my 70-200mm lens to get right in close to capture the view of the waterfall and looking up the valley above. Not long after the clouds changed and this moment was all but gone. Definitely very happy with the way this plan came together πŸ˜πŸ™Œ
Exploring some of Queenstowns gems, such as the Kawarau River! I love exploring this region, there's so many epic spots out there to discover! 😁
BRB, EXPLORING πŸ˜β„οΈ
I drove for 22 hours out of 72 hours in order to take this photo after my good friend @youngadventuress challenged me. πŸ˜πŸ™Œ I went from Mount Cook, down to Wanaka, then all the way up the West Coast to Wharariki, then back down to Christchurch β˜€οΈπŸš—πŸƒ Sometimes in life we all need to be challenged, to step out of our comfort zone, weather it's a box that's been placed there, or one that's been built. What's your challenge? Mine? Right now I'm working on a whole heaps of administrative stuff that I've been neglecting for some time, branding, accounting, website, blogs, editing, the list goes on. Behind all the adventures is hours of this kinda stuff that somehow isn't quite as fun.... But that's okay, I have awesome adventures to look forward to and that gives me the motivation to get on with it! πŸ˜„
One of the cheeky Kea you're likely to come across while exploring the south island πŸ˜πŸ¦πŸŒ±πŸ€™ Unfortunately these cute birds are on the decline and we need your help! Check out the awesome work the @keaconservation trust are doing and report the Kea you see on your travels! 😁
Soaking up those sunrise views in Queenstown! There's something about this place that keeps calling me back, any guesses as to what it is? πŸ€”πŸ˜‚ In other news I have a couple of exciting things going on at the moment that I'll be able to share with you later this week! Can't wait!! 😁
The result of last week's crazy all night drive to Queenstown to hunt the Aurora with @gemmaleefarrell didn't result in the huge display we were hoping for, but we still got a bit of a glow! 😍✨🌌🌠 Some times you gotta risk it for the biscuit, this time it wasn't what we were after but I'm stoked to walk away with new friends, great photos, and some awesome memories! 😁
