A couple nights ago, I woke up from a dream that I was on some narrow ground and alligators were on both sides of me. I would imagined an individual, being flanked by alligators would feel naturally uneasy or out right terrified.
From what I remember, the alligators were all partiality in the murky waters and their eyes calmly acknowledging me.
None of the alligators attempted to come at me, nor try to drag me under. I remember the surrounding space looked sort of hazy with tones of gold, greens, and reds.
When I finally woke up from this dream, I knew I had to do a little research on why alligators just so happen to occur in my dream.
From my personal perspective, I see alligators as a sign of strength and patience. A sense of authority, you don’t want to mess with, unless you want your arm taken off.
I also imagine a sort of camouflage and stealth, because alligators are can often be seen with only their eyes and nostrils appearing above the water line.
Jamie Sams & David Carson, authors of Medicine Cards, introduce the alligator as a powerful gift to “fully appreciate and integrate all that life offers...” The two also added the alligator often signals a time to laugh in the face of conflict in order to survive” and to “scan more than the surface..” On spiritanimals.com/alligator-or-crocodile, to see an alligator or crocodile in your dream symbolizes freedom, hidden strength and power.
The author of the website also stated, dreaming of this large reptile can also symbolize hidden dangers
So it seems I have more work cut out for me, to really get a solid grip on what my dream being surrounded by alligators mean.
