There is a history for everything.. Thoughts at the Berlin Wall 🤔
First time I'm not finishing a race - ✅
I've had some struggles in some races before but always decided to keep pushing. But this time it was different.
I came to Berlin with a hope to get a new pb and sub 2.45 at the marathon. But the last two weeks after (during?) Stockholm Halfmarathon Ive been struggeling with a cold or something. I felt a bit better before the big day and I thought I give it a try. My raceplan worked well until around 25k when I started to feel very week and dizzy. To finally decide to take of the bib at 30k was hard. 😿
I could most probably still finish the race but not close to the time I have capacity for and to what cost?
Disappointed but I'm also happy about many things during this trip.
1. To see my teammate @davidlenneman
make a new PB after two years of injuries was amazing.👍
2. To do a shakeout run and party with the cool community #btgberlin
and all the ones invited was really inspiring and fun, and to go afterparty barchasing with @loju75
was an adventure 😂🎉
3. I have a very good reason to come back and run here again! 😎
