Absolutely loved today’s leg session! Deadlifts went 100kgx1 90kg 5x1 80kg 5x2 70kg 5x3 60kg 5x4 and 60kg 5x5 all with roughly 30s rest between sets! Banded high bar squats need to add more tension next time! Then a superset of snatch grip and kettlebell swings! 1st and last set shown in every exercise! . --- My third and final set of deadlifts this morning at 7am, to round off a good morning of lifting, after an intense evening of HIIT training last night. . In my opinion, the morning after cardio/HIIT is the best time for weights. Why? Because you can overload the muscles before they begin to fully repair, thus ensuring maximum muscle maintenance with minimal depletion from cardio (especially during a cutting phase like me when you're constantly hungry!). . 95kg (which incidentally is my weight!), four reps, three sets. . I now have a good 48 hours rest until my next HIIT session. Time which will be well used eating and resting, both things my muscles (and my mind) very much enjoy! .
