Happy Friday everyone!
I really wanted to share this post from the magnificent @cherryhealey
today because food guilt is something that a lot of people struggle with (and even more so at this time of year🎄) Even though I am a doctor and a health blogger, I don’t eat healthily 100% of the time. Firstly, it’s impossible to achieve that, and secondly, I really truly believe that life and food are meant to be enjoyed. I eat well as much as I can, but when I want to have a bit of cake or chocolate then I really, really enjoy it and I refuse to feel guilty about it.
If you are eating a healthy diet the majority of the time then you mustn’t feel guilty for eating something sugary or stodgy. And, actually, even if you aren’t eating a healthy diet, or if you are struggling to stick to a healthy diet, there will be times when you don’t eat the right things for your health. This is NORMAL and HUMAN. Eating well is a wonderful thing to do for your health but ultimately food should be pleasurable and without guilt- if what you are eating affects your head in a bad way and making you feel miserable then really what’s the point? Eat well and enjoy ALL your food. #Repost @cherryhealey

Shall we all have a day free of telling ourselves we’re not good enough, not perfect enough, not doing enough? Shall we instead have a lovely day where we are as lovely to ourselves as we would be to someone we really loved?! Shall we have one magical day where we feel good about what we’ve achieved and the nice things we’ve done and grateful that we’re so badass in our very own unique way?!!?IMAGINE!!!!
