Menstrual cups... Menstrual cups are less heard of. They are tiny bendable cups that you can insert into the vaginal canal that collects the blood. Unlike pads, tampons and pantyliners they are reusable. They can also be used for up to 12 hours. They have a short stem at the bottom to help pull it down but you also have to pinch the bottom the break the seal. All you have to do is dump all the blood it collected and wash it and its ready to be used again. I think this product is because you don't have to worry about changing it as often as pads and tampons. It is also a lot safer for your body because it doesn't have an chemicals in it like tampons. Pantyliners... Pantyliners are a great pair with tampons. They are like mini pads. If you're tampon leaks a little the pantyliner will be there to make sure you don't ruin your underwear or clothes. They can also be used on there own on light days or when you're spotting. Of course there are multiple different brands and shapes of them. I'm the big 4-0 today! 🎉💃🎈..so strange as I can remember perfectly when my father turned 40 and now I am there! My mom threw a party for him and his friends got him a cake that looked just like 💩, no joke. Some Radical Honesty: I used to food to punish myself. Eat until I was sick and numb. I would eat so much that I’d forget about how much I was hurting. When I started Beyond Nourished, 6 years ago, I was still doing this. I almost collapsed the business a number of times because being around food was so triggering for me. What saved me and what saved the business was a desire to work through, rather than around, this challenge. We can’t ever expect that avoiding our issues is going to bring us to a place of peace. We have to be willing to do the work. If I had shied away from the turbulence that food cause me, I wouldn’t have been able to come to a place of trust & safety with it. The first birth I attended was way back in October of 1999 in a small apartment in the middle of the night. I'll always remember it. I felt so privileged to be able to be in the same room as a birthing woman. To me, birth was so mysterious. It was ordinary in that birth is how we all get here, but extraordinary in that it is a literal miracle that not everyone gets to witness: not mothers-in-law, not friends, not other kids and definitely not always student midwives. I read an article this morning about overcoming #addictiontoSugar! I wouldn't say I'm addicted to sugar exactly .... But maybe that's denial. 😁 There are times when I can't stop myself from eating a king size Snickers or Two Handfuls (not just one) of peanut M&Ms. Usually these intense cravings happen when I'm not eating enough veggies and healthy protein. Sometimes there is an emotional struggle behind my cravings. When it happens I can't get past the craving. #Dill essential oil is going in a 5ml rollerball bottle with a little coconut oil and im carrying it in my pocket.
