EVENING WORKOUT DONE! So i decided to make a video of 1 round with my #25lbVest. And surprisingly i did it in under 1 min which was my goal because that's all you can post on here at a time. So tonight was 5,7,7 #crossfit style #wod with 1 round = 5 #pullups, 5 #dips and 5 #pushups. First 2 rounds i wore the vest the last 2 rounds body weight only. In a minute though I'm going to spend a few minutes on static holds and negatives and get some much neglected #core work done. Oh and my time tonight was 11:15 plus the 52 or so seconds in the video minus a couple of seconds hitting stop several times before it actually stopped. So how fast can you do my workout? Be kind to yourself. Take a step back when analyzing your performance. Did you just get back from a long trip which entailed lots of walking, pasta, wine and 30 hours of airplane + train travel? Has it been about 6 months since you’ve consiéntela overhead squatted? Yes? Then your first week back to the gym is gonna feel like crap. But it’s okay. This is a marathon. Small progress via daily 100% efforts. That’s all we can do.
A new project I’m working on has to do with home made deodorant. It’s been fun figuring out how to do this and how to use to help others.

I'm not going to say that doing wallballs and rowing after today's WOD was terrible .. but pizza was probably a better idea. PJ thought this one up. 4:00 intervals, first 2:00 = row for meters; second 2:00 = 25 wallballs, rest for remaining. AN EASY WAY TO TREAT ANTERIOR SHIN SPLINTS 😃 (Imbalances/Tight Muscles) . Do you suffer from anterior shin splint? This is a very common injury for people that perform high impact activities like running and jumping. . WHAT ARE SHIN SPLINTS?🤔 . They occur when the muscle has small tears, inflammation of the muscle, or inflammation of the periosteum. You would not experience all of these at once, it would be one of these symptoms. . BUT WHY DO I GET THEM?🤨 . There are many reasons why you could be experiencing anterior shin splints, dysfunction in the ankle and foot, muscle imbalance between the calf muscles and tibialis anterior. . HOW DO I GET RID OF THEM?😫 . You need to work on increasing your mobility through your calves, ankles, and tibialis anterior. So help stretch the calves I would use the same technique I used in my previous post on releasing the tibialis posterior. For the tibialis anterior I would first use my @myofascial_releaser before stretching to help release some of the tension in the muscle. This breaks down the fascia built up in that area making the muscle more susceptible to stretching that will last. . If you are using this myofascial tool make sure you stay away from the shin bone (tibia), only use it on soft tissue. Metal on bone is never a nice feeling.😋 . DO YOU HAVE QUESTIONS? COMMENT BELOW

F I T N E S S Much like everyone else, my fitness tends to get put on the back burner when I am super busy 😏 I used to get down about it and feel really guilty, but I have realised that a lifestyle isn’t going to the gym on these days and following this specific routine and only eating that on this day 🤯. . For me, living a fit lifestyle means pushing myself hard at gym while also being okay with the occasional off days 🏃‍♀️ it means eating a healthy diet that makes me feel good while not feeling guilty for the occasional treats 🙈 and most importantly, it’s about being happy and feeling good more so than just seeing specific results 😌. . When I first started my fitness journey, I only went to the gym and followed a strict workout plan. 🏋️‍♀️ this might work for some people, and that’s great, but it didn’t make me very happy 🤷‍♀️ whereas now I do a whole variety of workouts, I feel amazing AND I’m getting good results as well 😄. . First night back at the gym, and my back still hurts 😩 Decided to at least get my cardio done first since I am going to do my little walking/incline HIIT routine every other day. Certain movements I’m going to have to continue to go light with, but I don’t want to have to stop altogether if I don’t have to...still, I have to listen to my body so we shall see 🤷🏼‍♀️ - Although my back doesn’t feel the greatest, I am happy that I got it done! - First day of my internship is complete ✅ I’m looking forward to the journey (and happy I found out that I have all of this month’s holidays off 😁) - Hope you’re all doing well!
