After starting a new job in Winchester recently, I discovered the Peninsula Barracks. Built a century ago, they occupy the site of a palace designed by Sir Christopher Wren for King Charles II.
Why do Trainers always bang on about protein ? -
1) It's not just to do with muscles!
Protein is needed for recovery & muscle growth yes. But your nails & hair are all made of protein too! -
2)Protein is satiating ! If your on a diet & your trying to lose weight...... then this is a really good thing to know! -
3)Your body requires essential amino acids for all sorts of things..... mainly staying alive! Hence the term essential. Protein is made up of amino acids, so eating a decent amount of protein ...... is decent ;)
