Don't neglect single leg work! How much time do you spend on one leg? Think about how we move, more often than not it's one leg after the other ! It's important to complete both bi lateral and uni lateral strength training !
Dream big but start small. A small adjustment can have a big effect on your life. For example, if you want to be healthier, then start by going to bed earlier 🦋 Not every transformation has to be a weight loss one. In the second picture I was miserable and eating low calorie meals. I was probably eating just over 1000 calories a day and I didn't even realise. I was doing 0 exercise and was miserable. I had very little self confidence about my body. • Fast forward 3 years later and I've actually put on a stone and half since I stated weight training. I am a much healthier weight but the best part is my confidence in myself. I feel good about my body because I've worked hard to feel good for me. I hate the word diet. I don't diet. I eat well because it makes me feel better. It gives me more energy for my long days, I don't get low energy dips and it makes me feel so much better. I actually feel pretty crap on the inside when I don't eat well. Getting healthier and fitter does not happen over night. It takes time, effort and dedication. It doesn't mean you have to weight train, do cross fit or run a marathon. Starting somewhere and finding something that you enjoy is the best place to start. There are brilliant classes you can do that can not only allow you to learn but also build your confidence up as there are usually people of all different fitness levels. Feeling good about yourself is the best feeling in the world 🌎
Summer '16 vs Summer '17 . . . Seems like I got some face gains too 😅 Ok the difference between these photos is both the amount of my daily calorie intake and my workouts 🙊 last Summer I did too many water fasts, detoxes and intermittent fasting and as a result , not surprisingly enough ; I lost some muscles besides fat but when I slowly started to increase the frequency and volume of my meals (100% or 90% rawvegan meals) while keeping working out I realized the detoxing phase I went through later helped me build muscles more easily and more effectively and it's because; as a result of detoxing I now have a healthy gut and way less inflammation in my body (words aren't enough to express how grateful I'm for this🙏) which provides me with fast recovery after my workouts and with lean gains.. so I can say, even if last Summer I did what I needed to do , the right picture seems and feels more healthy but of course feeling beautiful in both of these 😇🌼 at the end of the day, fitness is not a destination but the journey itself 🌹🍀 . .
