Throwback to this omg adorable shot by Meringue Studio back in 2015!
Do you ever find when reflecting during major shifts in your life you are often led to picking up where you left off?
TBH I’m taking some time in my hometown right now after traveling non-stop for over two years- giving me a lot of time to reflect.
Before I left my hometown for this travel back in 2015 at the beginning of the year I was pretty burnt out, overwhelmed with being so intact in my community, heartbroken, just launched a blog AND working on so much personal growth that when I left I was in an incredible, confident, eager, excited, peaceful, totally ready for adventure, truly beautiful place.
Now: I’m in a much similar place with emotions and experiencing preeeettttyyy deep pain but also in this completely awesome place of personal growth, surrounded by so much love and support- and I’ve come to this meeting place with my thoughts and feeling overwhelmed. Meditating and not fully at an acceptance place- but a place of willingness to grow, heal, and take care of myself first.
I’ve always had this light in my heart- and even in the darkest hours of my life- it’s never left- it’s always there and it’s filled with so much compassion and hope.
I’m forever grateful for that light and just like all the self-help books and blockbuster films will tell you- when you take the time to truly focus on fueling your light aka taking time for yourself- you then get to take care of all of those you love around you and in the world from such a more balanced perspective and your light shines even brighter and gloriously! YES!! ✨
From One Day at a Time with Al Anon today:
“At no point in my life will I achieve perfection; there will never be a time when I will not need the joy and satisfaction of helping others.” Also dis:
“Her only obligation is to herself; she owes herself the continued growth she will derive from giving to others what she has received.” Namaste, y’all! 🙏😘 #NamaTess
