As a proud daughter of a three time deported hardworking matriarch, today was the kind of experience that is very difficult to put into words, but every ounce of my being feels grateful, fulfilled, and hopeful for what was done out there.
The desert is inhabitable, yet so many precious beings are risking it all to cross it, like my mother once did, because they’re fleeing from something big enough to take them to this life threatening situation.
What if that gallon of water could be the difference between life and death when you’ve come so far and left so much behind?

was very emotional and REAL. Most of me is still processing the heat, the dangerous terrain, and the idea that there are people out there evil enough to conspire against innocent lives.
I trust that someone will find the gallons of water left with love and use them to keep pressing on because we ALL deserve to live.
Thank you to the incredible volunteers who do this every month and risk their own safety to provide life saving water to our brothers and sisters. I’ll be seeing you in the desert again 🙏🏼 because many more lives need our help.
