Don't let 2 days make you take 2 steps back... #JUSTSAYIN 🙌🏼 . . . . #yourtheonlyoneinthewayofyourgoals #smashinggoals #yougotthis #workfromhomemommy #bossbabe #love #instagood #follow #followme #photooftheday #happy #beautiful #picoftheday #smile #like #weightloss #weightlossjourney
Fridays are fun BUT what if weekends become your WEAK-end? It's easy to grind through the week when your normal routine is in play. Gym and healthy habits seem to just flow. Some people can continue habits but, unfortunately, 2 days outside of routine seem to completely derail others. What can you do to make it stick? - 1. Maintain some sort of schedule. If you go to the gym every morning during the week, hit the gym before noon on weekends. If it happens to be a rest day, consider some "active recovery" like a bike ride, hike, or yoga class. 2. Stick to a sleep schedule. It's easy to stay up late & oversleep on weekends. This messy sleep schedule can wreak havoc on your health. While it's not necessarily realistic to say 'stick to your exact same schedule,' certainly be mindful of how late you are staying up & if it's really worth it. 3. The big one: Nutrition. I see many clients maintaining healthy habits throughout the week, only to completely blow it over the weekend. Believe it or not, 2 days of crazy every week can undo progress. What's the point in eating well all week if you are just going to unravel all that hard work? - Pro Tip? Follow a nutrition plan that offers flexibility. When looking at "the big picture," strict meal plans don't offer a way to enjoy life & usually result in binge/cheat behavior. I'm a big proponent of macro tracking. I believe it is the best method for people to reach their body composition goals while also maintaining some semblance of a life. - I have clients who simply want to indulge over the weekends & no amount of "habit coaching" is going to change it. In those situations, I simply readjust how I spread out weekly calories. During the week, we focus on lower calorie days & allocate those calories towards 2 'high calorie' days. Do not confuse these with cheat days. They are controlled caloric increases & overall weekly calories are still in line with goals. - We also focus on awareness & tracking of alcohol which is insanely eye-opening for most people. Many clients would rather indulge in a few amazing meals instead of "wasting" 500-1000 calories on drinks. This small adjustment help to keep weekends in check.
My plan for the weekend! #Repost @beckymirando ( @get_repost) ・・・ Do you find it difficult to stay on plan when you are out of your weekday routine? There is nothing different about following our nutrition and workout schedules on the weekend when we have goals to reach. We committed to them during the week, what is different? Nothing! So don’t blow it! You create your weekend routine, just like the one you follow during the week. Put the same plan into action. Meals and workouts get put on the schedule, same as you managed the 5 days prior. Have plans, plan for them. Outtings, BBQ’s, parties? No problem you can fit that in too but remember your goals. If getting workouts in first and bringing meals prepped along is needed, that is what you need to do. Commitment is doing what you said you were going to do and sticking to it. You’re focused. This is the path you are choosing to get there; follow it. You can’t be half committed during the week and blow it on the weekend and except that you are going to still reach your goals. Are you managing your weekend or is it managing you?
