Having been to both the north and south, there's a definite difference felt. Hanoi has so much culture and history and feels very historical, while the south, Saigon (Ho Chi Minh) feels very modern and western, since it's still fairly new having been formed in the 17th century and conquered by the French and the Spanish. The vibe is also very different. Saigon feels laid back and Hanoi is pure chaos. The streets are tiny and there millions and millions of mopeds, while Saigon has big roads and a lot more open. It's pretty neat seeing both places. Alright, that's all! Heading to Halong Bay, be back in a bit.
