How you doin? 😜 Believe it or not this is a pylon but camouflaged as a very tall tree! It’s here in France I first ever noticed this. Quite ingeniously if you ask me 😁 #littlethings #thingsaroundus . . . . . #frenchriviera #frenchrivieralife #expat #southoffrance #housewife #fulltimehousewife #britinfrance #ilovemylife #sograteful #mumlife #momlife #mummyblogger #mommyblogger #wannabemumpreneur #notquiteminimalist #insatiablemel

More #streetlife in Chiang Mai. I’m not getting out to see ‘touristy’ stuff much, so for now I have to make do with things that catch my eye on the way to find food. Or coffee. And food. And coffee.... #chiangmai #thailand #color #thingsaroundus
Introducing our new series: DAAH (Do Art At Home) Loft Ideas! School holidays are coming up, thinking of what you can do with your child at home? . . . . . . . Back to the topic on what can we use to record things around us, in this present time and day? Yes, a camera! Here are two activities you can try out with your children to extend their exploration of this term's theme . . . Nature Collage You will need, - a camera - a neighbourhood park - imagination, loads of it! How it goes, 1) Head out to the neighbourhood park with your child. Explore the park together; pick up FALLEN leaves, twigs and flowers of various shapes, sizes and colours. 2) Find a good space on the ground to create your nature collage! Together with your child, lay out your collection of nature materials. Invite your child to use the nature materials to create, - letters of the alphabet - (spell) his/ her name - a land animal - a sea animal - a habitat for each animal Remember to photograph each of your young artist's work! . . . Architectural Sketch You will need, - a camera - a computer/ tablet/ laptop - a printer which is connected to the above - glue - a piece of A3 cartridge paper (drawing paper) -a drawing pen (nib size of at least 0.5) How it goes, 1) Together with your child, explore your neighbourhood and photograph an interesting building. 2) Back at home, view the photograph on a computer (remember to save the image!). Crop out an interesting part and print that out (no larger than an A4 size print). Glue the printed image on the cartridge paper. 3) Invite your child to continue from the print-out and draw the rest of the building. Have fun! . . . . . . . #artloftstudio #DAAHloftideas #doartathome #art #artideas #nature #architecture #camera #thingsaroundus
