Power and Strength Series: (Glutes) The high step up I general like to put exercises into two categories when building my work out routines, Power and Strength which are mainly heavier compound exercises, and hypertrophy exercises that isolate more and I enjoy performing at lighter weights to really get a sense of mind to muscle connection. This is an example of the former and it's one I love to hate, the high step up. For me my max working weight tends to be 50lbs with a 24 inch high step up mat. But the size of the mat is dependent on your flexibility and anatomy. Sure go as heavy as you can but stay within 10-15 reps range, not the shitty 3 rep range.
