To those people who always turned up their noses and replied with "you're going to regret that" or "you're making it hard on yourself later on" or "he will become clingy/needy" etc (the list goes on) To our decision to co-sleep* with our baby.
Baby Greazzer is now almost 15 months old, has one day nap and generally sleeps through the night aside from waking for the odd midnight boob snack(Yes he is still breastfed, shock!) Last week we decided to start getting him use to his cot and his room, which is next to ours, for two reasons.
1) We have baby #2
on the way and our bed isn't quite big enough for 4 humans and 2 animals. Also he sleeps in awkward positions now 😅
2) Because summer. I'm huge already at almost 18w pregnant and we all run on the hot side. #sweatymess
What do you know he is totally ok with it!! Last night he slept through til 6am without a stir and is currently having a 3.5 hour day nap. (Normal is 2.5-3)
He still loves snuggles with me and @greazzer
and yet is not clingy, but a rad independent little dude.
I guess what I'm saying is don't let the "advice" or judgement of others get you down (especially if you're a new parent. That shit is daunting enough as it is) You parent how YOU want to parent. Do what works for YOU and YOUR baby. Xxxxx *If you do wish to co-sleep please make sure you follow the safe co-sleeping guidelines 😙
