( i pray for my grand children. i pray they grow up to be a better version of who i am. i pray they grow knowing their #roots,
knowing how to #support
each other and #unify
against any form of wrong doing. i pray they stand up and fight abuse of all kinds against women and children. i pray i raise them well enough not to get #misguided
once they leave the #shelter
of my wings.) Shot at #Wembezi,

Most families are either headed by grandmothers or by children as young as 12years.
Their main #fear,apart
from different forms of #abuse,
is growing up not knowing what it feels like to have one's #dreams
The grand mothers know little of the #modern_world,
they know that their children went to the big cities only to return to die. They go with hopes, come back with broken souls and foul influence.
This is but a glimpse of what goes on in places that we hardly pay attention to. These are places full of #heroines
doing their best to shield their #grandchildren
from the #dangers
of the world.
doing my bit to highlight new challenges faced by women in rural areas.
