Hey everyone! Today's Think Thursday is about CONSISTENCY. This is quite ironic, considering I have been MIA for the last two Think Thursdays. I don't want to make excuses, but in all honesty I haven't had much time and I didn't want to put out content that wasn't my best. I hope that's ok and here is this week's Think Thursday post!
In my opinion, consistency is one of the major factors in achieving success, whether that's in fitness, nutrition, or your career.
Being consistent helps you to develop healthy habits and get into a balanced routine which is SUSTAINABLE.
Doing something with 100% effort for one day a week and being lazy and unmotivated for the remaining six days will not get you anywhere. It is simply unsustainable.
That's why I love the phrase "little and often." If you do something relatively small but frequently, for example eating a decent portion of vegetables at lunch and dinner, you are more likely to stick to the routine and therefore, achieve the results that you want.
Another thing to note is that 'OFTEN' DOES NOT MEAN 'ALWAYS.' I think it's very important to go out and celebrate birthdays, go out for dinner and drinks with friends, have the ice cream or the extra portion of fries on occasion. It is important to be consistent the MAJORITY of the time but still allow yourself to ENJOY LIFE. You don't have to eat exactly 1800 calories every day of your life. You don't have to work out exactly four times a week for every week of your life. You can have days where you don't do any of that but being consistent the MAJORITY OF THE TIME is what will you get where you want to be.
Phew! Rant over 😂. I hope you enjoyed this post and have an awesome evening and a great weekend everyone! #flintfitness
