Did a little #stability work with some incorporated #stretching on my break today. Needed to get the blood flowing and loosen up my #body prior to the drive to #AshvilleNC! We have bodies that are meant to move! It's a #blessing to be able to move like you do and be #healthy like you can be. Others aren't so fortunate. Then, there are those others who STILL make the most out of it. #Whatsyourexcuse ? Honored that my body has the ability to do things like #mudruns and #obstacle courses. PRESS DOWN (front) on the WUNDA CHAIR: I love to fire up my whole #posteriorchain by 1. pressing the base of my skull into stacked palms which activates the back of my neck & paraspinal muscles. 2. feeling as if I'm pulling the pedal behind me instead of just pushing it down. That helps activate my #lazyglutes ­čśČ My other focus is growing taller in both directions. UNLOCK YOUR T-SPINE . KYPHOSIS CORRECTION SERIES . This is a thoracic extension exercise to improve mobility and address your thoracic curvature. . Note: I had my elbows out while performing the extension to simultaneously stretch my lats a bit. You can start by keeping your elbows in and pointed up (when supine) to isolate the t spine. . To perform: . ­čö╣Place the Foam Roll on your mid back ­čö╣Cup your hands behind your head. Maintain a neutral neck. Keep elbows in to isolate t-spine, or open to simultaneously stretch the lats a bit. ­čö╣Posteriorly tilt the pelvis to engage the core so that you pevent lumbar extension ­čö╣Arch over the roll . Hold stretch for 5 -10 seconds for 5 -10 reps . This is one of my favorite stretches. It really "opens" you up! It's great if you sit a a desk or drive a lot! .
