(Forgot to post yesterday, so what’s new? lol) I had a change of heart; I’m keeping these beauties. Some people say I change my mind constantly but I don’t feel that way, I see it as exploring options and making an informed decision. As a new skater I was not familiar of how skates are supposed to feel and what is right or wrong. I’ve tried different skates, wheels, bearings, toe stops, lacing techniques, stretching techniques, plates, nuts... and these are the ones that feel JUST RIGHT. I bought my Rios because I thought the heel of these skates were giving me a disadvantage since I don’t wear heels regularly and my foot is not naturally comfortable in an inclined position but that’s not the case with roller skates. My Rios were super comfy but had too much room for my feet to move around and having almost no heel made me feel like I was falling backwards. The plates on these are quite heavy making them weigh almost 4lbs each so I think that’s what feels off. The actual boots are comfortable and fit like gloves on my feet so once I save some money I’m going to upgrade to some lighter plates. So yeah, more flower skates adventures coming soon ❤️⛸ Any skaters out there have any recommendations on non-nylon lightweight plates?
