Still lying in bed, feeling every muscle because of yesterday's training.
It's Christmas time and there's so much to do before next weekend. So how can I motivate myself to do a longrun and a swim instead of going to town and meeting a friend for shopping, tea and cake?
Well, right now I don't have the perfect answer because I was thinking about taking a break today when I woke up😅
But usually there are three ways to get rid of these nasty thoughts:
1. Thinking of Roth and my goal 🔜 😱 🏃 💨
2. Taking a deep breath and think about the satisfaction you feel when you come back from a run
3. Remind yourself WHY you are doing this. It's not all about the goals, times and numbers.
It's about nature, it's endless energy it possesses and wants to share with you.
It's about feeling your body and getting to know every fiber of it.
It's about love. "Love?!" you might think?🤔
Yes. Love. It includes joy and smiling faces but also disagreement, tears and even pain.
Only if you love yourself you possibly can achieve your dreams and in a situation like this I need my mind to win the argument against my body to get my ass up and go for this longrun. Because after it - and so knows my mind - both, mind and body will be filled with happiness, calmness and satisfaction.
Your body and soul will thank you for these hours outside, whether it's in sunlight or rain. And after it, it's time to relax and drink that tea with friends.
So here's to long Sunday runs and keeping up the love between body and soul. Have fun training today😘
