change situations, #words
don't. Lots of times in the past I was satisfied with talking the talk & not putting action to my words. Especially in the age of #social #media,
grandiose statements of #political, #social, #environmental, #emotional
& ethical/moral subjects are easy to write, but action must be taken.
Now I don't #procrastinate,
I get gut feelings of what is right & wrong, & then I act on it. The "logical" brain (bro-cortex) is, in #aboriginal
culture the 3rd brain behind the gut & heart.
This is not to say words are #superfluous/vacuous,
words can be powerful, & a lack of #vocabulary
can leave you obsequious, trapped & easily shaped by others narratives (unable to defend your position). This was a key issue in George #Orwell's
1984 book, where the "newspeak" phenomenon is used on the mass of people to limit their understanding & opinions, shaping their lives to what they can articulate.
So rather than being an attack on #language
& words, which I love, this is rather a post to promote:
1) that what you say is clear & concise
2) what you DO is clear & re-enforces those words!
