Miss Maggie is the sixth dog I photographed last Saturday up in Darrington.
She is a Save-A-Mutt alumni!
Here is here story, from Jennifer, one of the Save-A-Mutt founders, "A rescue partner down in California was given mom and five female puppies. Maggie was one of these puppies. We transported her, the sisters, and her mother up to Washington. A week later the rescue partner was contacted by the woman who relinquished the entire family, she had saved for herself the single male puppy in this litter. We were asked to bring him up, so we did. We had not named Maggie yet but because Saint Bernards, which they looked like, are from the border of Italy, I decided to name him Lago and her Maggie ( short for maggiore). lago maggiore
We knew Jennifer and her family because she is the owner of CityBones - A Dog Treat Barkery. We met her through our scrub-a-mutt dog wash event. So when she wanted to adopt Maggie - we were thrilled.
It wasn’t until dna came back that we find out she’s not a Bernard! :)".
