We have really been focusing on active extension so he can support his weight. โ€ขโ€ข โœ…Before this movement: โ€ข Wrist CARs โ€ข Wrist Flexion- Low intensity PAILs + lift off (yes, flexion- both ranges should be strong and I like the extensor work in the PAIL) โ€ขโ€ข ๐Ÿ‘€ The active ROM difference between his left and right wrist in the first rep. Ski abs: start in plank position, and jump into the side of your hands. Keep butt down and core engaged . 4. Inโ€™n outs: plank position, jump into hands and back out. Use abs to pull you in and push your legs back out . SAFETY tips! In plank and pushup position, always keep wrists under shoulders! And maintain that position while jumping in ski abs and in n out abs! You should not be using your back to jump in and out (moving shoulders around) you should be using your CORE! Now that may not seem like a big deal to anyone but to me itโ€™s a victory and a mark of progress as only a few weeks ago I could barely hold plank on my toes, let alone for 60 seconds! This is my #activity for yesterday...and it's pretty low because I was at one of my smaller schools that I taxi to...by I did thankfully get some exercise in. I got in 50 #kneestochest with weights on my body in the morning before work, and another 50 unweighted after work. I also did #modifiedpushups and I'm happy to say I can do them more easily and more of them than I could before <3 I did #squats with a 10kg weight, but sadly I can't yet do #curls with 10kgs, not even a 1 rep max...so I'll need to go back to 7.5kg or whatever it was at before for arm curls. And of course I did some #stretching and I did #plank position. :3 Still doing relatively well at #exercising 6/7 days a week as my #decemberchallenge though not perfectly, it's definitely better than nothing :3 I'm only doing around 5-10 minutes of #exercise when I do, but I'm trying to form #healthyhabits and improve my overall #health :) What are your goals? You don't need to wait until New Years to start :p you can start any time! I've lost and kept off 10kg since March 2016 by trying to walk a bit more and eat a bit healthier and I did it in very tiny easy steps to be sure I'd succeed. I like setting myself up to succeed! You can set a small goal for yourself today! And before you know it, that small goal you're able to meet everyday, will add up to big results! I know I probably won't see a huge difference at the end of this month, but I'm excited to see my results! I thought about taking a complete rest day today. I was soo sore from yesterday's workout... Or was it from the day before?!? ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿพโ€โ™‚๏ธ ๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿพ After putting the 9am through Bootcamp I decided to do my own thing. An active recovery day. I completed 5 "easy" sets of 500 meter row followed by a 45 second Plank. I'm still sore, but most likely less sore.
