I am a huge fan of working on being more athletic. It makes me feel superhuman in a sense. So when I was out yesterday and saw that glorious turf, the spirit of @jensinkler
inspired me to work on mini sprints. And not just the usual way. From dead stops, from a transition, anything I can think of. I felt like I was getting ready for the combine! And it was awesome.
IF YOU ARE A BIG PERSON LIKE ME, ALOT OF PEOPLE WILL TELL YOU THAT YOU SHOULDNT DO THIS KIND OF STUFF BECAUSE IT WILL HURT YOUR JOINTS DUE TO YOUR SIZE
That is partially true.
IF YOU DO NOT PROGRESSIVELY WORK UP TO THIS KIND OF TRAINING, IT WOULD NOT BE WISE TO GO FROM THE COUCH TO STRAIGHT UP SPRINTS.
THANK GOODNESS I HAVE BEEN WORKING HARD THIS PAST YEAR, BECAUSE ALL THE TRAINING I HAVE DONE UP TIL NOW HAS PREPARED ME FOR MORE ATHLETIC ACTIVITIES.
Social media can make it so easy for us to think we can all magically do these things without any context. But the truth is that behind every person who does amazing stuff on video is a lifetime of training and hard work.
I am a big guy
And I can move
Because I choose to not only lose weight
I also choose to be strong and fast at any size
Happy Monday my friend! #teamwagon #bodypositive @theellenshow @edbyellen @therock @djkhaled
