Welcome back to #TheRipReport!
(32:2)... Let's dive in with
/ #ArtistToWatch: @deantevh/
If you haven't heard of #DeanteHitchcock
yet, then you will soon. He represents the southside of #Atlanta
and dude can flat out spit. His style is heavy with the punchlines and metaphors, but the part that I love the most is he stays on topic. It seems crazy that I have to highlight that, but honestly these days that is not that common. Couple the raw talent with the southern accent and you get a special talent.
His projects #SoMuchForGoodLuck, #GoodLive,
have some overlap in terms of tracklist, but they are dope in different ways. The latter, Good, was the world's introduction to his style and he delivered a crazy vibe on this one. I personally like #WhatItAintWhatItIs, #ReallyFeel, #Feelings
ft. #Jaiye, #SharodVirtuoso,
just to name a few.
Good: Live is dope because it took me back to the old days of #MTVUnplugged.
He freestyled, he talked junk, and delivered great songs with a live band. (S/o to the homie @kennethharristoo
on bass and
in the background of that Good: Live cover!) I personally like the Intro, live versions of Really Feel, Good Intentions, Nits, Complicated, Truth Hurts, For You and Yours, No Secret, and the Outro.
So Much For Good Luck is a short and sweet 6-piece which display his talent very well. There is something for the hip hop heads, for the ladies, and something for the city on there. Its dope from top to bottom; I usually just press play and let it rock!
Finally, his solo track #TalkingToGodPt2
is DOPE AF. Not sure why it isn't officially on any of the aforementioned projects, but if I had to pick one song to put somebody on from him I would pick this song. 💯 In the words of the homie, @brooklyn_quan
, Check him out AYAP!
