❗️❕Intermittent Fasting❕❗️ . I’ve just made it back to Cali and I’m already planning my next fitness moves💃🏻Starting in a few days I will be switching up my routine with incorporating intermittent fasting into my lifestyle. Giving my body a few days to readjust from Bali life and traveling😴 . I’ve done quite a bit of research on it and the human body is quite amazing, to say the least!🙏🏼 “IF” is a term for an eating pattern that cycles between periods of fasting & eating. Most people start with the 16/8 cycle, which is eating during an 8 hour window and fasting for the last 16 hours➡️remember, this includes sleeping time! (So technically most people fast for at least 12 hours a day already without “trying”). . So, I think I’ll be setting my eating hours from 12pm-8pm & fasting from 8pm-noon!🙌🏽 I work out in the early mornings, so I’ll be sipping on BCAA’s...but that’s it before 12pm hits. . Benefits from IF: • can help regulate blood glucose (blood sugar)🍭 • gain (or maintain) lean mass • can control blood lipids (decreasing bad cholesterol)🙅🏻‍♀️ • increase fat burning • improve appetite control🙋🏻‍♀️ • increase of metabolic rates later in fast🙏🏼 . And those are only to name a few! But, everyone is different! Listen to your body👂🏽if your body is telling you that it needs food before your fasting window, then adjust your hours, make a longer window or try a new method! I am looking to get more in tune with my body, especially after a long vacay, so I’m going to try it out and see how it goes!💜💜 . Who else has done IF or is currently doing it?! For the right glute, open up to the right by stacking the right hip on top of the left, and coming up onto the right hand. Keep the right leg at 90 degrees. Then lift from the right outer glute!

Have I worked out one day while on this trip? Nope!...does it bother me? Nope!✌🏼 . I’ve also had a few people ask me if I track my macros while on vacation..and that answer is also, nope!🙅🏻‍♀️ . Tracking my macros for quite some time now has actually really helped me intuitively eat in scenarios like this. I know how my body functions, when my body needs certain foods and how much fuels my body at every meal. (I mean I may have overdosed on some ribs, fish, and delicious fried rice at points, but who’s counting)💁🏻‍♀️😝 .
