Interesting 24 hours! During the later hour 24 hour fast yesterday, the morning was difficult 😬 Energy was certainly higher after eating, and last night I felt particularly good. Having upped the Vitamin D, further reading told me I should really be taking Vitamin K2 too. More on this in a future post 👊🏻
Today, pre-workout, I registered a pretty low blood sugar 64mg/dL (unexpected given I was up at 82mg/dL) towards the end of my 24 hour fast yesterday 😶 My ketones strips arrived (reckon I’d get more bitcoin than strips for the money 🤐), and ketone reading came to 2.2mmol. So I’m comfortably in ketosis but never quite felt it - partly as for the past two nights I’ve been waking around 4am and then struggling to get back to sleep. I remember similar when I first started Keto, things should smoothen our shortly.
Pushed my ass into the gym, then knocked it out the park with a healthy 5kg increase on the deadlift frame, taking me to 105kg (exc. frame) 👊🏻 am currently cutting so only expecting to maintain - but all looking good for the body scan tomorrow 🚀
