I had seen anaerobic sports athletes (MMA, Wrestling etc) focusing too much on aerobic training (Ex - long distance running etc ) and ultimately hampering performance. Targeting Anaerobic system during training have shown to improve aerobic capacity but not vise versa. We’re finally back to using some resistance bands as part of our training routine. One lacking aspect of my training knowledge involves utilizing accommodating resistance correctly. The point of these rows was to add resistance towards the end ROM where the greatest amount of scapular retraction usually occurs. We performed several sets prior to these without the bands and finished with 3 sets of 6-8 reps per arm using a tempo-1 second concentric:3 seconds eccentric. #NSCA #CPT #fitcouple #lats #back #traps

In 3 1/2 weeks time this is the difference I’ve made physically. Consider also that other than 4 days out of that time I have had no gym and no weights, just myself and exercise bands.
