This means trying to add 5 more pounds or at least 1 more rep. How To Make An Effective Bodypart Split by @Bachperformance
 Body part splits get a bad rap when in reality they can be great for building muscle. The problem in most cases is poor design, exercise selection, NO heavy lifting or balance. 
In short, most lifters aren’t ready for the typical splits you see and end up focusing on too many high rep pump sets and advanced methods before they’re ready. 
When you focus on body part splits with sound program design you can make great progress. You’ll end up training muscle groups 2+ times per week. 
Take your shoulders as an example. If your workout program is as follows:
👉Monday: Chest (shoulders get trained) 👉Tuesday:Legs (you could argue working in a stabilizing roll) 👉Wednesday: Shoulders (shoulders get trained) 👉Thursday: Back (rear delts are trained) 👉Friday: Arms (if you have any pressing, your shoulders get trained)
 Your shoulders get trained as many as every single day, even though they’re the primary focus only on Wednesday. Pick one heavy lift to train for strength. 
Pick 2+ compound exercises per muscle group.
Track your workouts and get stronger week to week, month to month. 
Train consistently. No program works if you skip workouts…especially legs.
