HERB TEAS: #Herbs
like this Chocolate Mint and Lemon Balm are a couple of my favourite herbs to grow for teas. They're 'cousins' in the 'Lamiaceae' plant family. Mint has antiseptic, antiviral and anaesthetic properties. A perfect choice for sore throats whilst lemon balm lifts the spirits and has natural anti-depressant properties. I make my own mini #HerbTeaGardens
in pots. They're portable and handy for picking a few leaves for the teapot. These thirsty herbs are best buddies in the same container because they both enjoy either sun or shade and a regular drink. Mints suit pots because of their vigorous root system. Not one you want to escape out into the garden! Pink Dianthus are delicious #edibleflowers
- so pretty in salads and can also be added to herb teas. They grow year round here in subtropical Queensland and provide free seeds. What herbs do YOU grow?
