A lot of the workday's stress, at least at the beginning of one's career, comes from the feeling of "no control" over their own schedule. To regain this control, I like to define some "Non-Negotiables" for myself. These will be the things that absolutely have to happen on a given day. My single non-negotiable is eating dinner with my daughter and helping her with Bath/Bedtime. For you it might be the same, working out, or making it to Yoga. If that means going into the office super early and signing back on at night, or missing a workout, then that's what has to happen. Because non-negotiables are just that, and seeing her grow up and being a central figure in that process is not up for discussion. #MentalHack #LifesBetterWhenYouAre
