Currumbin is home to the Gold Coast’s world-renowned @currumbinsanctuary
which was opened in 1947 by 🐝 beekeeper and 🌸 flower grower Alex Griffiths. Alex originally began feeding the region’s wild lorikeets to prevent them from ravaging his prized blooms. The lorikeets remain a popular drawcard to the sanctuary today and the bird has become an unofficial ambassador for Currumbin. You’ll find the human locals are also a postcode proud bunch, telling tales of their beloved 4223 to anyone who’ll lend an ear 👂 .
