ARE INTROVERTS EVEN REAL?⠀
Dang, I know there are some die hard personality test believers out there and the most touchy subject of them all, is identifying as an introvert. Now, let me preface everything I’m about to say with the fact that I believe there are people who naturally love being alone and I totally support their decisions and feelings. I would never attempt at degrading their bend and I would never mock their self-discovery. ⠀
With that being said, I know a lot of naturally bent extroverts, wearing an introvert’s clothes. How do I know this? Well, I was once a very insecure person, and basically, been there, done that.⠀
If you don’t get freedom in this area, you could live your whole life, being someone else; someone, you don’t even know; someone, you don’t even like. All of it, unto your fear of rejection. The truth is, some people are often quiet because speaking can possibly cost you something, and when you don’t have much value in the bank of your identity to give in the first place, taking a loss would be detrimental. So, they choose to not take the risk, after all, if you don’t try, you can’t be judged for something you didn’t do. So, you fail on purpose, a self sabotaging strategy because to try and fail costs a pretty penny, but never trying at all is free. If you’re a self proclaimed introvert, or if your test says you’re something, but you disagree. I want to tell you, that test doesn’t define you. You’re undefinable. That test can’t make or break you. Who you are is unbreakable. You might be something in a certain season of your life, but if your invisionment of yourself is bigger than the “shy guy”, and you just don’t know how to be confident. Hang in there; keep pushing to know the truth of your value. Atleast you’re being honest; atleast you’re ballsy enough to not settle for something you’re not, because deep down, you know you’re copping out. Don’t let life do you; you do life.
