480 for 3 doubles.
My biggest weakness with conventional deadlifts is that I do too much pulling and not enough pushing. The deadlift is both a push and a pull, and MOST weak deadlifters I see do way too much of one or the other. Because I pull more than I push, I am weak off the floor and strong at the lockout; it's not a balanced deadlift. I did my damnedest today to push through the floor as hard as possible from the start, firing my quads, and then pulling the bar into me and squeezing my glutes through the lockout. The result was a much, much smoother deadlift. It's not as snappy as I'd like it to be, but the smoothness and the bar path are 💯 right now, which is much more important.
Just food for thought if you have a disjointed deadlift.
