As i approach my 1 year yoga journey anniversary, I am humbly reminded of the true purpose of yoga, mental conditioning.
The mind is the point where the body and spirit meet and if I didn't recognize this then, I do now.
Despite the heart opening sensations, I have no interest in radical love and light movements of just the heart.
Despite the invigorating mind over matter focus and strength im able to conjure,I have no interest in beating my body up so that I can nail a pose.
I want to be happy, healthy and in tuned with the resources provided by the Universe to maintain that state of being.
I realize no extreme of anything can give me that. I have to find my perfect recipe.
I'm sorry to say that after much reflection, that process is not going to look as impressive as I once hoped it would. On the refreshingly bright side, at least for me, it will be honest, it will be explorative, it will be nurturing and best of all, it will lead me along the path im intended to walk.
Idk if I'll always have the picture to sum it up. No one wants to see me meditate and hop around in my yard. Not to mention, thats not really a photo op im thinking about in that moment.
I'm hoping Ill have the words. After reflection, my thoughts are very clear, so im sure my captions will be loaded.
Most, Im confident I'll have the feeling. Thats the part you will probably never see, st least here. There are some things so magical, only the moment can do them justice. I call these moments sacred and they are my reason for yoga.
