Hands quivering, knees shivering.
Eyes welling, I feel these tremors through my spine.
Choking- like someone squeezing my throat, staring at the screen, swallowing bitter white wine, they're at it again.
How can you slaughter all the children and walk away a saviour?
How can I breathe the same breath, speak the same talk, walk the same walk,
Knowing I have to share it with you,
Because you, the epitome of hatred,
You satiating the inner monsters of your insanity
Drown the lives of the innocent children.
The blame game is now on.
22 kids out whom two could be identified.
There's a war out there. Not the one on terror.
But one between love and hate.
Between an arena of children and one audacious excuse for life.
Television screens serving platters of "news",
Politicians pointing fingers
But none to the answer.
But you can hear the voices of despair resonating the hymn of love,
When birds from across the world sing
Songs of hope and peaceful living,
Still quite doesn't heal the sting
But wipes a tear,
Gives the strength to deal with fear
And a brace to grow with in this broken hour.
