When I first opened this canvas last week I thought it really didn't need much in correcting. It's normal for red's to fade to rust/red, but once I put my daylight lamps on I saw the green hue, saw the lost depth and color changes. This is normal for many open cotton canvas reproductions which is what professional artists use since they know they have to add and enhance the work then seal with their own varnish.
Spending a few hours on color and detail correcting not only adds value to the print, it also makes the recipient appreciate and feel like they have an original and shows you care as a professional artist.
Chyan on the left with only the first layer of red added, and finished with all correction and varnish on the right.
I've never seen a green malinois...nor should anyone else ;) #k9 #belgianmalinois #k9art #dogsoffreedom
