Enjoy and excerpt from my story Delia and The Werewolf.
“Did you still want the floor plans altered on the sixth floor to match eight or were you leaning toward twelve?” The foreman walked toward Delia carrying two rolls of blueprints. “We’ve got to make that decision now so we can order more glass walls, if that’s still what you want.”
“Twelve,” Luke said.
“Eight.” She glared. “I’ll thank you to remain out of my business.” “Our business,” Luke said. “Mine,” she all but snarled.
“Eight, it is.” The foreman turned on his heel and left without ever reaching them. “I’ll leave you two to do whatever it is you’re doing.” Luke circled around Delia, the heat from his body scorching through her suit jacket to her skin. When he stopped behind her, his warm breath tickled the back of her neck, and she wished to hell she’d kept her hair down this morning.
The soft puffs were nearly too much for her to ignore. With each exhale a rush of air swished past her hardhat and over her skin. She felt it roll over her shoulder and down her chest like the soft caress of a lover.
Only Luke Ravenwood was not a lover.
Delia squared her shoulders, lifted her head high, and moved to step away, out of the downward draft of pulsating heat and breath that clearly said her adversary was more than a mere man, but Luke’s hand circled her forearm.
“Let go of me.” She stared down at his hand, refusing to look at his face.
He stepped forward, removing any space between them. “I want what I came for and I intend to have it.” “That land is not for sale.” If she sold Montgomery Crossings to him, it would be the last thing she ever did. Her father, Drummond, worked years on that project. If she ever parted with that land, her heart would simply stop beating. “You’ll change your mind. I can be quite persuasive.” Grab your copy at your favorite eRetailer here:
