best dang buffalo chicken wings i’ve ever had😎 they’re baked, crispy, & all you could need💯 . || 3 lbs @butcher_box chicken wings + 1/3 cup all-purpose flour + 2 tbsp baking powder + 2 tsp chili powder + 1 tsp garlic powder + 1 tsp sea salt + 1 tsp black pepper + 1 bottle wing-time sauce (found it at whole foods) + greens + carrots for serving with ranch dressing || 🍗 . all ya gotta do👉🏽 lay your chicken out to air dry for 30-45 min. preheat oven to 450 degrees. pat chicken dry paper towels (the drier they are the crispier they’ll get!) dip the wings in the flour mixture (flour, baking powder, chili powder, garlic, sea salt & black pepper). . place all the wings on a baking sheet. bake for 30 min & flip halfway. check to make sure they aren’t pink inside when done & then put them in a bowl. pour over as much sauce as you prefer🙌🏽 & serve, that’s it! i PROMISE these will be a hit, we’re definitely making them for the super bowl😎 . hope you’re having a great day💃🏼

I’m listening to Roxane Gay’s audiobook, Hunger, right now, and this quote stopped me in my tracks. . I had to pause the audio and really think about the truth in what she’s saying. It’s true that an inextricable part of being a woman in our culture is the desire to be thin, and the constant struggle to make our bodies more acceptable. . Diet culture convinces us that this is what we want - to dedicate our lives to becoming our “best self,” but in reality, it’s more about changing our bodies into something more pleasing for others to look at - with no offensive excess fat or dimpled skin. . How often have you had a conversation with other women - friends, family, coworkers - and the topic of weight loss comes up? For me, it’s almost every conversation. In the past it was often me initiating it, because I was literally obsessed with “fixing” my body; but even now that I’ve rejected diet culture in my own life, someone inevitably brings it up. Their latest diet, how much weight they’ve lost, how much weight they’ve gained and how “fat” they feel (as if fat were an emotion...), how they really want dessert but can’t be “bad,” how guilty they feel for eating a burger the day before. It’s CONSTANT. Our brains are consumed with the pursuit of weight loss. And I spent years focussing much of my mental and physical energy on just that. Not only striving for my own weight loss, but convincing other women of why it was so important that they lose weight too. . I preached “health” while really caring more about fitting into smaller jeans. I promised to change lives, not realizing that losing weight was not as remarkable an accomplishment as our society makes it out to be. We’re made for so much more. . I don’t want to spend another minute of my life trying to alter my body to make it more acceptable, or closer to the ideal image that diet culture has planted in my head. I will not spend another minute convincing other women that they will be happier or more fulfilled in a smaller body. . Accepting that your body is perfectly fine as it is - opting out of diet culture - is radical. Loving yourself in a society that tells you not to is radical. Be a rebel and do it anyway.

Choose 1 dessert that looks amazing instead of trying them all ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 3️⃣ Taking a platter? Fill it with fruit or veggie sticks with a healthy dip (lower calorie hummus or tzatziki) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 4️⃣ Keep moving. Plan when you will exercise and stick to it. Make it a challenge to drag your most stubborn family member along 😜 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 5️⃣ Drink plenty of water. Thirst can often be mistaken for hunger and dehydration will make your body and digestion sluggish and deter you from exercise ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Most of all, relax and enjoy! Today hasn't been my day. Woke up sick and ended up sleeping most of the morning. I'm just now eating my breakfast. All I wanted to do this week was kill my work outs and get back on track with my diet, but my body said uhhhh yeah not today Tay. So this picture is from Saturday when I wasn't sick and was feelin myself😆 ______ I haven't really worked out the past 4 days and haven't ate the best either! Today was my day to do my cardio and get back on track. Yeah.. this makes me upset because I feel like I'm back tracking even more. But I can't let this have control of the way I feel. I'll be honest with you, I'm terrified of gaining weight back (I've been getting better with not feeling this way). It certainly doesn't stop me from enjoying food though🤗 aka binge eating problem. But I need to let my body rest! I continue to tell myself that I'm human and things come up- this is only temporary and I'll be back on my favorite grind in no time 👊🏼 until then I'll be eating soup and drinking green tea, which I love!☕️

Happy Monday guys ❄️ if you need some Monday motivation please check my last post ! Winter favorite ? Soup of course 🍲 As you guys know I talked about my health, and my intention was to improve it. After weeks of reflecting, having good and less good moment with insecurities, I spending an another weekend of thinking... I was looked where I am and if the change I have made are real and sustainable. The answer is no. No. Because to be honest, these last past few days I didn't nourish myself in the way I wanted to do. I overeat nuts & seeds, missing veggies and protein. I needed this time. And after doing this, now I know what I want, what I need to do and how I can make this change. I'm proud of my meals & snacks today and this feeling of happiness is amazing. I go out my comfort zone, and tomorrow I will continue 💫 Ps : this was my lunch, turmeric soup w/ chicken + zucchini + spinach + avocado 🥑

can you believe that this week is already christmas eve? i just really can‘t and as every year i‘m still struggling with some presents. also i‘m not really in a christmas mood and i haven‘t really been to a christmas market this year but i definitely have to go!! 🎄 today i really felt like baking something but since i didn‘t have that much time i made something really easy but still heavenly delicious😍for those chocolate „pillows“ i cut whole grain puff pastry in little triangles and filled them with the @simplyvgenuss chocolate cream cheese and one piece of homemade almond chocolate. then i baked them in the oven for 15 minutes - couldn‘t be any easier right?

I’m soooo hungry, that breakfast didn’t cut it! I can't eat now everything will think I'm a greedy *counts down minutes to 12pm* . 💚 . 😊 Normal person: I fancy going for a walk . 😖 Me: I’m going to wear a 20kg vest, speed walk around the park and check to see how many calories I’ve burnt . 💚 . 😊 Normal Person: Oh look there is a buffet, what do I fancy having, yum that looks good . 😖 Me: What a buffet!!! This is the worst! I’m not going to have anything, I can’t be trusted. Just. Don’t. Eat . You get the drift . For those of us on Instagram, I’m going to make the grand assumption that we know the truth about Santa Claus…The proverbial lump of coal is for no one. Whatever you want in your stocking, or around your menorah, or whatever you celebrate the holidays with is for you to decide. It has nothing to do with whether or not you are good or bad, naughty or nice. - In the last few weeks, I have observed some fascinating advertising mind games: I have seen automobile commercials, I have seen food commercials, and I have seen exercise promotions using the naughty and nice language. It’s fascinating to me that we can fall prey to the same language that is used in getting children to behave around the holidays. That we can be convinced of the importance of conformity for the sake of some arbitrary assessment of what is good or bad. - Again, I’m sorry to burst the Santa Claus bubble, but there is nothing about you, your body, or the way you interact with food or movement that is naughty or nice. How would you take care of your body if you weren’t afraid of receiving the “lump of coal?” How would it feel to remove naughty and nice language from your vocabulary? - This is one step that we can all take to stand up for ourselves, for our bodies, and for our place on this planet. voila! a fancy salad that's sneaky simple. i brought this to a christmas party 🎄 last night and it was a huge hit. like, a please-email-the-recipe kinda hit. 🤗 spoiler alert! this is all about assembling, there's barely a need for a recipe. • • 5 ingredients: arugula, nuts (i used what i had, slivered almonds, but pine nuts would be super fancy), pomegranate seeds, shaved parm, and the fanciest component of all, orange segments. 🍊this part is time consuming, but so satisfying. • • i also threw together my go-to simple dressing with olive oil, dijon mustard, white wine vin, garlic and S&P. add a grain and more protein and this could be a balanced meal.

After some Christmas shopping this morning i stopped into @anthropologie to treat myself- literally could spend hours there💕 Found some awesome sales too🙌🏼 Packed one of my new bowls with all the goods for lunch today 💯 dets ⏩⏩ a bed of sautéed kale with roasted broccoli, zucchini, cherry tomatoes, butternut squash seasoned in cinnamon + coconut oil, two soft boiled eggs, and crushed almonds! Definitely on an egg kick right now🍳 i think i have soft boiled eggs down to a science 👌🏼 Boil for 6 1/2 minutes then transfer to a bowl of ice water for 2 more and finally peel carefully starting at the wide end! You can thank me later 😍 Happy Monday everyone!
