Slightly bloated and holding on to BF% for dear life it seems, but getting some sort of definition under the winter survival fat 😉 😂 Putting the added bloat to increased water consumption by 2 litres a day since Tuesday during this, very welcomed, warmer weather. I was going to hit the gym tonight but I lost motivation somewhere between making soup and prepping veg for tomorrow's soup 😒 So I got in 45 minutes hiit at home trying out my new core sliders and resistance bands. Finished with rolling the legs and stretching. SIDE PLANK BIRD DOG _ This one is for those that are bored with regular side-planks. Once you're in the side plank position, flex the hip and knee to the 90/90 position. Then, simultaneously raise your top arm and extend the leg before returning to the start position. _ Your core, as well as your floor-side hip muscles, have to work to stabilize as the moving limbs change the location of the center of mass. Common mistakes include: hip flexion; hip drop; cervical flexion; trunk rotation. _ Give it a try once you've mastered side-planks! _ DM or comment any rehab/mobility questions you have! _ #PlankBank #AbLab

Left 🚫🚫🚫 Right ✔️✔️✔️ ________________________________ One of the most common mistakes I see in Olympic movements (snatches or cleans) is an inpatient second pull. This is usually thrown off by a bad start position as shown on the left with the shoulders placed too far back. Another mistake here, the hips shoot forward instead of up pushing the bar forward causing a jump forward. This will inevitably cause a miss with higher loads. I got this cute from @jaredenderton On the right, the shoulders stay over the bar longer and the hips ✴️✴️ UPPERCUT✴️✴️ the bar in an upward trajectory rather than forward. This puts more power into the bar for a much more efficient movement.
