Day 11 of #flexibilitybasics is #bridgepose aka #setubandhasarvangasana. Bridges are a common exercise that i have my patients do, especially for those who lead sedentary lifestyles. When we sit for long periods of time we create tightness in hip flexors as well as weakness in low back and glute muscles.. this pose is a great way to counteract that because it's basically the opposite position. A balance in flexibility and strength is essential to joint health.
