Acai Bowl .... healthy or not ? Pure Acai Pulp is high in antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals. However, many cafes don’t use an unsweetened Acai. Acai bowls are usually blended with fruit juice or a milk of some sort, and toppings range from sugary granola, scoops of nut butters, honey, agave, coconut, banana, dried fruit or cacao. That’s a lot of stuff in an innocent little bowl many people would eat for a snack. In fact, one bowl can pack more calories than a burger. Therefore, it's better to look at Acai Bowls as an occasional treat that has some health benefits, rather than a "superfood".

Making Sunday night our new family pizza night🍕 this pizza was sweet AND savory and so SO good!! Best pizza I've ever made tbh. Summer is finally here and so are the iced lattes! 🌞 This one is actually not based on coffee, but on a gluten free dandelion blend by Teecino. It's a coffee substitute for those avoiding caffeine! I buy the Dandelion Caramel Nut, and they're made with organic carob, organic chicory, organic Dandelion root, dates, almonds, natural caramel but flavor and organic figs ⭐️ I still love my coffee, but we were out of cold brew, and I like having Teecino bags on hand for when I want a coffee-ish taste at night 🌝 I can't drink coffee after lunch time, because the caffiene really messes with my sleep (sensitive petal over here, haha). To make one of these lattes, just steep 2 Teecino bags in boiled water, then add to a blender along with some soy milk and ice cubes, then pulse a few times to break up the ice and froth up the soy milk 👌🏼
I saved all my allotted daily healthy fats today for dinner so I could indulge in this spaghetti squash “lasagna” bake. It’s not the pizza I was craving but with spicy chicken sausage, spinach, spaghetti squash, and some garlic it did the trick. As a big football fan, Sundays used to be pig out days so I’m really happy that we curbed our fried food craving tonight!

The first official day of fall called for @rachlmansfield paleo cinnamon apple streusel bread and picking fresh apples (team honey crisp) 🍎🍎🍎 at @centergroveorchard. Going to the @centergroveorchard is one of my favorite fall traditions, and this year I got to take my first of many trips with my sweet grandma/ my baking bestie! 😍 . . Ingredients: * Wet ingredients: * 3 eggs at room temperature🥚 * 1 cup unsweetened applesauce (I use organic) * 2 tablespoons agave syrup @madhavasweet * 2 tablespoons coconut oil * ⅔ cup creamy almond butter @wild_friends * Dry ingredients: * ½ cup coconut flour * 1 medium apple, diced and peeled (I used honey crisp)🍎 * 1 teaspoon all spice * 1 teaspoon cinnamon * 1 teaspoon nut meg * ½ teaspoon baking powder * Mix-in's: * ⅓ cup chopped raw walnuts (can sub another nut of choice) * Streusel Topping: * ¼ cup almond flour @bobsredmill * ¼ cup coconut sugar @bobsredmill * 2 tablespoons coconut oil melted & cooled * 1 teaspoon cinnamon * ¼ cup chopped walnuts . . INSTRUCTIONS 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees 2. Mix together wet ingredients 3. Add dry ingredients to wet and mix 4. Mix together crumb topping 5. Pour batter into a bread dish and top with crumb topping 6. Bake for 45-50 minutes (stick tooth pick in and should come out clean) 7. Let cool for a few minutes and enjoy! Simple Ingredient Caramel Dipping Sauce!! 1 cup coconut cream, 1 cup organic maple syrup, 3/4 cup Coconut Oil, 2 TBS Vanilla, Sea Salt to taste. THAT'S IT!! whip it all up and then heat in saucepan, whisking as you go until desired thickness. This stuff is tooooo good guys!
