A lot of people still seem to be on this "gluten free" train. _ This is fine and necessary for those with celiac disease, IBS and/or intolerances. But this is a very small percentage of the population. It's actually been shown that approximately only 1% of people have celiac disease? So for everyone else deciding to go gluten free, is it really necessary? _ In short, it really isn't. A lot of people eliminate gluten as an attempt to reduce bloating, which is not necessarily wrong. But we are all different, and what causes bloating with one person may not for the next person. So think for yourself and simply experiment with various food sources to determine which ones work best with your own digestion. _ A lot people also believe that gluten-free is healthier. Gluten-free isn't inherently healthier. Many gluten-free foods are high in saturated fat or loaded with simple calories that contain no nutritional benefits. _ We're not here to tell you that you're wrong to take gluten out of your diet. It's your decision what to put in your body. 🤕🤕💪🏼CONFUSE THOSE MUSCLES!!💪🏼🤕🤕 . Oh look I'm doing squats and deadlifts AGAIN - I haven't changed up my workout to 'keep my muscles guessing' but I'm still making progress??🤔🤔 . 👆🏼👆🏼👆🏼This is probably one of the most irritating gym myths that appear to be circulating across IG more and more everyday . This idea 💡 of switching up your workouts to keep the muscles guessing tends to be followed with the idea that you should be seeking for MUSCLE DAMAGE/SORENESS❌ . BUT frequently changing the exercises you do within your workout can result in your muscles not working at their full potential because there is a NEURAL LEARNING PHASE that can take weeks! 🙇🏻 During this learning phase MUSCLE GROWTH is not yet optimal, it's only after this phase - once your brain has made the neural connections - that you really start making gains!💪🏼💪🏼 . You do not❌ need to be rotating your exercises every week to grow that 🍑 and build muscle - doing so actually will probably LIMIT your progress 😱. You do✅ need to PROGRESSIVELY OVERLOAD the same multi-joint exercises for at least a few months at a time before changing them! . Note that not changing up your exercises is less important with single joint vs multi joint exercises as they're easier to learn!🤗🤗

I am by Föhr now with my family as I mentioned in my earlier post. @tdkatzen and I went to the beach and tried to do a nice HIIT workout there but unfortunately it was way too windy 😫 We did some sprints and burpees and had a nice walk. Once we were back I did 5 exercises for 40 seconds and 20 seconds rest. Total of 20 minutes. It was super hard especially after driving for 8 hours and getting very little sleep 😴 but I felt great afterwards 💪🏼

After a leg burnout, I love to stretch everything. I'm pretty flexible, but I want to improve my flexibility for deeper squats and overall mobility, so working it! Goals! Yoga poses are the best. First week of prep compared to last week of prep _ The photo 📸on the left was taken January 2nd, 2017, where I was sitting at 119.4lbs. My starting point measurements were •Waist 25.5" •Glutes 37.25" •Chest 32.75" •Arms 11.5" •Thighs 20.25" _ The photo 📸 on the right was taken 19.5 weeks later (today), where I am sitting at 104.8lbs. My measurements are •Waist 23.5" •Glutes 33.5" •Chest 30.25" •Arms 10.5" •Thighs 18" _ It's taken 20 weeks to lose 14.5lbs and 11.5 inches. I LOVE sharing these results for a few reasons _ 1. 20 weeks is a long time, so patience and consistency are HUGE contributors to these results. If I would have pushed to lose 14.5 pounds in 12 weeks, my body would probably look a lot different and I wouldn't have retained as much muscle. _ 2. I didn't restrict ANY food! If you have really been following along, you would have seen that I've been enjoying pizza, brownies, sugary cereals and some diet pops. I've also ensured I have been consuming an adequate amount of fiber, fruit and veggies. There are NO secret magical foods to get you shredded. If this doesn't show you that... Accountability: the obligation or willingness to accept responsibility or to account for ones actions. 🗣 • Someone messaged me this morning saying how I make balancing my life look easy. And maybe I do, sometimes I struggle, but at the end of the day, I know I'm in charge of how I make with my 24 hours of every day. We all have goals, but how hard are we willing to work and sacrifice to accomplish them? • I know I don't have the same priorities as most college students and I understand that. Sometimes you have to realize though that to get where you want to be in life, you have to put in the work. You have to put in the time. You can't play the blame game and say you're not where you want to be because someone else is "better" than you--maybe you're not where you want to be because you're not working harder than everyone else. #ChangeThePerspective Life isn't gonna hand you things on a silver platter and say, "Here! You have money and a stable job and happiness and power!" As much as I wish that were the case, it's not likely. • It won't happen over night. Goals take time and they're like watering a garden. You have to water your garden daily before you see things begin to grow and bloom. So work hard, change how you think, map out a way to get where you always wanted to go! • If you're not where you want to be, or say to yourself, "I want to be there and do this and achieve this..." Well what are you doing to make that happen? What are you doing with your 24 hours to get closer to achieving your goals? Just a little food for thought. 💭 • Happy Wednesday, you guys! Chin up/pull up PB 💪🏼💦 This was my set of 10 chin ups after a previous set of 11 last summer. I never trained back or arms specifically at the gym. Blood, sweat and tyres classes were completely responsible for all of this strength. TAG A FRIEND WHO MIGHT NEED TO READ THIS CAPTION I don't wake up everyday feeing motivated. Some days I don't feel like working out and other days I struggle eating healthy. If I have a bad day, I most certainly do NOT let that bad day turn into a bad week, month .. For me, I stop and evaluate my priorities. I take a step back in order for me to see what steps are need to take place to continue to reach my goal. Life is a "mind over matter" game. Of course your hard work pays off and the results are fantastic but I know that there are sacrifices that have to be taken along the way. The process of setting goals and your journey will test your true strengths. There will be times where your question yourself and during this time you need to force yourself to look at the positive. Always reminding yourself that results and conquering your goals don't happen over night. Be patient. If you let what you just read truly sink in and keep your heart aiming for the stars, nothing is impossible!🖤
