Mix in a high powered blender: Arugula, spinach, lemon, spices:cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, turmeric and Amla powder plus water.
Arugula- has been shown to reduce blood pressure, increase muscle blood flow and improve mitochondrial efficiency. Even shown to give a boost in athletic performance. Mechanism via nitrate-nitric oxide pathway. NO is a vasodilator.
Spinach-one of the top vegetables shown to inhibit the spread cancers. Mechanism SQDG glycolipid inhibiting mammalian polymerase (needed for DNA replication)
Flaxseed- one of the highest sources of lignans and omega 3 fatty acids. Also lowers blood pressure and has anti cancer properties. Mechanism via antioxidant activity
Spices: have natural salicylates, the major ingredient in aspirin that has anti-inflammatory properties. Also high antioxidant
Amla powder: Indian Gooseberry, half teaspoon has more antioxidants then many people get in a week.
Lemon - one of the best fruits with anti cancer properties, even at small doses.
This is just a fraction of what these ingredients can do, but it's enough to encourage you to get more of them in your diet. A green juice by blender is an easy and convenient way to attain more in everyday diet.
