* A “Throwback” Story: (Now this one has a spiritual aspect to it that some of you may not understand)
Back in the 90s we lived in Branson, MO. We moved around a bit, but ended up buying a mobile home. It was actually pretty nice, but the place we put it had a considerable incline from one end of the house to the other. As this thing was held up by cinderblocks, the one end with the steeper incline was quite high off of the ground…taller than myself. This caused us to feel movement if there were heavy winds.
There was this one night when my family was gone, but a friend was over at the house. The two of us decided to have some intercession prayer and this went on quite a while. We were both really feeling God’s presence. The time came that my friend had to go home and I was by myself. Still in a deep place I got on the keyboard and started singing my heart out to God. I felt caught up, euphoric, so much power in the house. All of the sudden, while I was still on the keys, I felt the house shake in a rapid, ongoing motion. I just knew it was God! Ahhhh! So amazing is His presence that it’s literally shaking the building. I yelled out, “Yes Lord!Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesss!!!!” Then, to my dismay, I realized that the washing machine was on spin cycle in the laundry room, causing the home to shake. DANG IT. I still had a great time with God though, and I believe He thought this was funny.
By the way, we lived in that same house when we moved to Texas. * A “Throwback” Photo:
I took this one just this year on April 23rd. This is at Stow Lake in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. We took several teens that day. It was really fun seeing them be surprised that such a place was in San Francisco. We all floated on paddle boats on this little lake. It was a really fun day.
