This picture right here is what finally got me out the door to run. I can't believe the #nofilter
blue sky today. With Thanksgiving right around the corner I thought of 1 thing I am grateful for per mile.
Mile 1 - Still running outside with no snow on the ground.
Mile 2 - My husband has been out of town for a few days but is coming home tonight.
Mile 3 - My kids. They love me despite my unperfect mothering. Hence the reason I needed to get outside and run.
Mile 4 - Food. Seriously, I was thinking about what I was going to eat when I got home.
Mile 5 - The creation of the Earth. *See blue sky for further reference
Mile 6 - Water. It's hard for me to drink water when it's cold outside but I know it helps me along the way and after my run.
Mile 7 - My faith. Life would not be as pleasant without knowing the things I know to be true.
Mile 8 - I already ran 8 miles?! My body and all it is capable of.
Mile 9 - Alone time. Gives me time to think and reflect. No one saying my name or fighting in the background. Just my breath and foot falls.
Mile 10 - Warm showers. I get cold after I run so after a quick stretch it feels so good.
Before I left my house I did some glute activations and tried to warm up my legs so I didn't freeze and so I could get straight to the running. I have run this 4 way route so many times. I like it because it has wide roads with big shoulders, there are crosswalks at the top of each road, & it's not busy with traffic. It's slightly uphill one half mile and slightly downhill on the way back down. Do the 4 way 1 time and I've already run 4 miles. On the uphill side of the road I tried to keep the effort steady but not hard and on the downhill I tried to pick up the pace to avg an 815 per mile every mile. On a couple of the downhills I had to push my effort more than I wanted to to get my 815 avg but it all averaged out ok. #gratefulrunner #running #fitmom #runner #bluesky #beatyesterday #getoutside #gratitude #garminfitness
