I have been cutting out refined sugar for 17 weeks. When I started cutting out refined sugar, I found it extremely difficult as my body seemed to crave sugar more then usual. I replaced refined sugar with fruit and as my sugar cravings reduced I cut down my fruit intake. Finally, I came across a recipe that is simple, sastifying, refined sugar free treat, Raw Bakewell Tart Balls. Not only are these Bakewell balls refined sugar free they are also, gluten, grain and dairy free! I found this recipe on rawpress blog, http://www.rawpress.co/blog/raw-bakewell-tart-balls after having a stalk on their beautiful gram: @rawpressco. Not only are these treats super tasty they are also super easy to make. Ten minutes these treats take to whip up. All you need is 10 minutes, a blender and: the ingredients: ➡️125G cashew nuts ➡️150G dates ➡️25G raisins ➡️25G dried cranberries ➡️1/2 TSP of vanilla and almond essence ➡️1/4 TSP salt Firstly put all ingredients into the blender. Blend for a couple of minutes, the texture should be thick (like cookie dough). Once mixture is thick, transfer to a bowl. Make sure the mixture is in one heap. Then take out a serving size of one tsp and roll the mixture into a ball, using your hands. Once you've finished put the balls into the fridge. Leave them to set in the fridge for a 30 minutes, then indulge. 😋😋

My second #lightenup meal makeover is HEALTHY CHINESE Sesame Chicken! This goes out to @keltykelt because its a quick 20 minute meal for busy moms on the go! 24oz boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cut into ½ inch strips) 1/2 lb of green beans 2 Tablespoons cornstarch Salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper to taste Cooked grain for serving (I used quick cook quinoa) For the sauce 3 Tablespoons soy sauce 2 tablespoons honey 1 teaspoon sriracha 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated or 1/4 tsp of ginger powder 1 clove garlic, minced 2 Tablespoons sesame seeds 1 tablespoon sesame oil In a large bowl combine the chicken, cornstarch, and a pinch of salt, pepper, crushed red pepper. Put green beans in a microwave safe bowl, fill halfway with water and steam in microwave for 2-3 minutes Spray a large pan with Pam or another nonstick spray. Heat the pan to high heat and add chicken to pan.Stir-fry chicken for 7-8 minutes or until it's golden brown. Add the cooked green beans. In a medium bowl, combine the soy sauce, honey, sriacha, ginger, garlic, sesame seeds and sesame oil.Add the mixture to the chicken and green beans and allow sauce to simmer for 3-4 minutes or until the sauce is thick and sticky. Remove chicken from pan, sprinkle more sesame seeds if desired.Serve on grain of your choosing
