When it’s -2 outside, the only thing to do is put on your cosiest new jumper (thanks @babaaknitwear
) and snuggle up with a coffee in your favourite cup.
This cup was made by Bob at The Grange, a residential community for adults with learning disabilities in Gloucestershire. It is the perfect colour and has just the right proportions for my daily caffeination (ideally once a day, at 11am). We still have a few left in stock and with each purchase, we can give a little bit of money to a charity that does so much to support a group that many turn a blind eye too. One of Aerende’s missions is to get more of us questioning what it means for our society when so many people are left without the means to discover what makes them happy or to do something constructive, the things that make us fulfilled as humans. We think that crafting and the sense of satisfaction it creates should be available to everyone.
So, when you think about it, this is not just a cup of coffee. It’s a cup of fulfilment too. The kind of uplifting Christmas gift that is as good to give as it is to receive.
