Meet Alex [ @the_ms_press

winning the battle against #multiplesclerosis!
Q: When did you get into health and fitness and what inspired you to do so?
A: I first got into health and fitness in my late teens. It started off as a sort of mess around with my friends after school. None of us had any idea what to do, and we definitely never trained legs! It slowly became more of an obsession for me. It was all about the progression. Each week my body could do something that seemed impossible the week before! I was amazed that good training and nutritional habits could give me so much control over my body and physique. 💪 -
Q: How has living healthy and fit changed/impacted your life?
A: I can honestly say that health and fitness has changed my life. In April 2016 I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, a disease that typically gets worse over time. I was suddenly faced with a new reality. A reality where I could wake up one day unable to walk, or even unable to see!
I've found that one of the best medicines for MS is proper diet and exercise. In fact, there are hundreds of studies that prove it is! Health and Fitness keeps me functioning at my best. It makes me feel strong when my body wants to be weak. It gives me a mental break from the stresses of life with MS.
I'm certain that if I didn't live a healthy lifestyle, my condition would be much worse than it is now! -
Q: What's one thing you would like to share with other health and fitness enthusiasts out there?
A: Never give up! It may be uncomfortable, it may be challenging, but push through it! I promise you will come out the other side a stronger, more resilient person. When something tries to get in your way, tries to stop you and tell you that you can't - keep fighting. There's nothing more rewarding than overcoming an obstacle that seems un-movable! - @the_ms_press
